In this photographic series, I delve into the grey homogeneity of the mudflat. Hidden within that apparent blandness are complex textures, an abundance of life, and evidence of human impact.
The tidal flat collapses many of the distinctions humans try so hard to delineate—living, dying, breeding, feeding—as we exert control on our environment and seek to define ourselves.
